The process of printing using carved blocks produces a rustic and iconic style of print, and allows for experimentation and simple reproductions.

You use your hands and carefully sharpened knives on vinyl, linoleum, wood, or other materials. You carve out a negative space to make lines, shapes, and textures. You roll on inks, press to print, and hang to dry.
The process is messy, smelly, and satisfying. And the result is a simplified style of art that focuses on spaces and shapes.
